Who we are
LonAdd Consultancy Plc provides recruitment, Employer of Record (EOR), outsourcing, payroll, and HR consulting from Kazanchis, Negist Towers, 2nd Floor, Suite 201 & 206, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
We are the data controller for most of the processing described here. Contact us at info@lonadd.com with any question or request about your data.
Our role in your data
When we recruit for our own vacancies, build our talent pool, or answer a business enquiry, we decide what is collected and why. Requests come to us.
Under EOR and outsourcing the position differs: we are your legal employer for statutory purposes, but the client organization directs the work and much of the processing. There we act on the client's documented instructions. If we cannot resolve your request alone, we will tell you which client also holds your data and pass the request on.
What we collect and why
We collect only what the service requires. These lists are complete as at the effective date.
Business contacts
- Name, work email, phone, company, and role
- Target markets, hiring volume, and the service you asked about
- Used to respond to your enquiry and scope the right service
Job candidates
- Contact details, location, CV, cover letter, and profile links
- Education, employment history, languages, and availability
- Salary expectations and your reason for seeking a new role
- Interview notes, assessments, and CV screening scores
- Gender, if you provide it, used only for anonymised diversity reporting
- Used to assess your application and, with consent, match you to future roles
Outsourced & EOR employees
- Everything above, carried over on hire
- National ID or passport copy, to establish your right to work
- Bank details, to pay you
- Emergency contacts, payroll, tax, pension, attendance, and leave
- Training, performance, and termination records
- Used to employ and pay you, and to meet our legal obligations
How we screen applications
Our recruitment system scores applications on CV completeness and clarity, depth of experience, career progression, employment gaps, tenure, training, and education.
These scores are a decision aid, not a decision. No one is rejected, shortlisted, or placed by an automated score alone — a consultant reviews every outcome. You can ask us what your scores were, and if one misrepresents your background we will have a person review and correct it.
Where we keep it, and for how long
Records sit in our internal ERP, restricted to staff who need them. Ethiopia's Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024 requires data collected in Ethiopia to be stored on servers in Ethiopia, and we keep our primary records accordingly.
Some data travels. Many clients are international, so a profile shared with a prospective employer may be reviewed abroad. We send only what that purpose needs and require recipients to protect it on terms consistent with this policy.
How long we keep it
- Business enquiries: 24 months from last contact
- Unsuccessful applications: 24 months in the talent pool — ask us and we will delete yours sooner
- Successful applications: for the duration of employment
- Payroll and tax records: as long as Ethiopian law requires after employment ends
- Screening scores: deleted with the application they belong to

Security and breaches
Access to HR systems is role-based, personnel files are restricted, and all staff are bound by confidentiality. Identity documents and bank details are visible only to payroll and HR staff who need them.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects your data we will notify the Ethiopian Communications Authority and the people affected within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as the Proclamation requires.
Contact and complaints
To exercise any right above, email info@lonadd.com, call +251 910 646205, or write to Kazanchis, Negist Towers, 2nd Floor, Suite 201 & 206, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
If our response does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Ethiopian Communications Authority, which supervises data protection in Ethiopia. We update this policy as our practices change; where a change materially affects data you have already given us, we will contact you directly rather than rely on this page.
